Weekly Resolutions!!

- Finish up custom orders

- Work tons more

- Continue making time for loved ones

- Practicing patience

- Loving those who hate

So I finished up one custom order out of the four.. And this was the biggest piece! yay! I am getting faster at all of this. It is just a simple cross stitch with the last name of the couple and they date they are getting married.. I have been commissioned to do two of these so far, she said she may have two more for me by the summer. So I am pretty excited. Plus she wants me to do two little "bless this house" type cross stitchings, not my normal style but I do customed orders for anything and anyone, especially when its a friend I work with.. I am sure I will cut her a deal since there are so many projects.

Speaking of projects I have decided, after given advice from Jamie(MrXStitch) that I should kinda make my own line of cross stitchings with different styles.. I dig this idea, infact I dig it so much I already started doing it! I redid the "Protect Me, Satan" for my shop and I will continue doing this.. I want to keep certain items always stocked.. So if you have any suggestions from my past projects, please let me know.. Feedback is always appreciated!

I am becoming a workaholic I think.. This past week I managed to have two days off and I enjoyed them! This week I am going to be working like 10 shifts, so I will be busy.. but will be making money!!

Making time for loved ones can be challenging when you work so much and then work on crafting in my down time.. I am trying to find the balance between those things and a social life, haha. So far it isn't working too well! hehe

But that brings me to my next resolution, practice patience.. No Katie, you can't have everything you want now.. but it is nice to dream :)

And lastly, loving those who hate you.. ahhh it says it all really. Learning how to get over things, let it go and move on.. sign me up! I am there! I can honestly say I do not hate anyone, I honestly have nothing but love in my heart and it is a wonderful feeling. Infact, I encourage you to bury the hatchet, embrace a lost loved one, or just say fuck it and accept the things you can't change and love life reguardless.

Weekly Resolutions

- Finish Custom Order Cross stitch
- Finish Custom Order Scarf
- Bake more cookies!!
- Enjoy Xmas Eve and Xmas off of work
- Spend time with the boy and his family

So I was almost finished with the cross stitch that I am doing for a custom order, just to realize that it didn't fit the frame I had picked out.. BUMMER!! So I had to start over again.. haha! Also having some bad luck with the scarf, I had to unravel over a foot because I fudged it. So maybe this past week has not been my week for crafting!

I started baking cookies, I did some to go to work.. But I have to make more to go to Lee's family get together on Xmas Eve.. So I am going to go back to my baking ways, maybe I will take pictures.

I somehow got super lucky this year and am off Xmas Eve.. So I plan on enjoying it, see last year I worked every holiday, I am feeling really lucky.. Now I can spend the day with my boy and his family. Which I really enjoyed it Thanksgiving, so I am looking forward to it! Lee is so cute, he told me he wanted me to meet all of them because he wanted his future wife to get along with his family. CUTE, CUTE, CUTE!

That is really all I have for this week, I hope everyone enjoys the holidays and gets to spend it with loved ones.. That is what it is all about afterall :D Merry Christmas to all!! Hope Santa brings you what you wanted.

Weekly Resolutions

- work, as usual
- 2 custom orders

This past week was great! Thanksgiving at the boy's grandparents was so much fun. I wore a dress!?! Yea there is no proof of this but trust me I did.. His grandfather turned around and said, "Who do you have with you, Lee?" Hahaha. I think by the end of the night we all had a buzz.. His grandfather started before us all! And the dinner was amazing.. Lee cooked it all, and I was very proud! He offers to cook all the holidays because his grandparents are getting on up there, I think it is just so sweet.. and after the dinner we got to hear his grandfather tell stories about being on the radio back in the day, I am guessing around the 50's and 60's..

My birthday was another story.. this is the first birthday that i received no gifts, which I am totally fine with.. Never been a material person.. But I guess it hurt most that a lot of my friends forgot and I didn't even hear from my parents, which if you know them is self explanatory. Every idea I had to do on my bday got rained out because it landed on Black Friday.. which meant all the thrift stores were closed, and this really secret comic book place was closed.. bummer all around! But I got to spend the day with Lee.. and that was really all I wanted. I did get to spend some more time with Lee's family.. I met his extended family on his mom side, which was neat.. I can tell where he gets his looks from.

This week I have no plans except work and do my custom orders. As the holidays are getting closer and closer, work gets more hectic.. and of course so does life. I think I will be working all of Xmas Eve, which I did last year too.. But I should have New Years Eve and New Years off.. maybe? Last year Lee cooked a really romantic, fancy meal.. and we toasted to the new year with champagne.. I am hoping this year we will be able to do something similar, except I won't be at work most of the night this year!

I am very lucky to have him.. Lee has been a great boyfriend, but a better friend. Our year is in December.. I am looking forward to that.

Taint Magazine.. Neither here nor there

So I have finished two more projects.. well technically three, but I didn't take pictures of the custom tea towel because it was a project I have done before. The Reform School girl from Sublime Stitching. Since the lady wanted it almost exactly how I did it before I just didn't see the point of sharing again. ha.

But I did do two more cross stitchings.. working on a third right now that will crack you up I am sure.. Still have tons of ideas just not enough time to do them seeing how I am working six days a week lately. UGH! and two of those days are doubles. Yea!

So here is my first piece! Taint Magazine, Neither here nor there!.. I love Mr. Show.. I had to do another one of this piece just so I could put it on my store, although it may never sell. I have come to the conclusion that not a lot of people can appreciate such a potty mouth, such as mine.. But I am okay with that! The "Taint" part is based off the logo the showed on Mr Show, and totally freehanded.

$17.00 @ my shop

I also did another piece, which kinda made a mess on craftster so I deleted it. FTW was meant to stand for Fuck the World, but everyone wanted to argue it was For the Win.. which I have never heard before.. Me and Lee laughed about how upset people were getting, correcting me.. neither of us had ever heard that.. But take it for whatever you want I suppose. :)

$15.00 @ my shop

So onto other news, the six booklets I won off Ebay never arrived, which really bummed me out! So I had to reorder some other ones that are similar.. I was waiting on those to arrive to do Amanda's custom order.. Which will be awesome!

Yesterday was me and Lee's 11 months, I can't believe we are almost at a year.. Things have been so wonderful lately.. We didn't get to do anything yesterday because we both worked but when I get off of work today I plan on making him a really fancy dinner!

A few nights ago I made some Cavatini.. and it was to die for..
It is a bake that includes, ground beef, pepperoni, green bell peppers, onions, tomato sauce, spagetti or pizza sauce, pasta, mushrooms and lots of mozzarella!! It was really yummy and made SO MUCH!

Weekly Resolutions

- Custom Order Tea Towel

- Custom Order for Amanda

Honestly last week I slacked a lot.. I didn't spend as much time online though.. so kudos for that I suppose. I just got my order of Tea Towels in yesterday so now I can do my custom order and a few others for my Etsy Shop.. Still waiting on my booklets to come in that I won on Ebay. I will need those for Amanda's project, which I am very excited to work on!

This week I am taking it easy on the list.. I don't really have any major plans because work has sucked my social life and crafting life down the toliet. The closer it gets to the holidays the more I will work. Most likely working on Thanksgiving this year, bummer.. but asked off for my birthday, which is on the dreaded black friday.. dun dun dun.

Made a new friend this week.. got a lot of things off my chest.. it was nice to have someone support every fear I had then and confirm every doubt that I had.. knowing I am not crazy is always nice. :)

Just continue on with a positive attitude and hopefully continue doing well in life, thats my main goal.

Julie Jackson of Subversive Cross stitch bought another piece of mine, and gave me the raddest feedback ever! http://katiekutthroat.etsy.com/ if you want to read it. Seriously the highlight of my week.. well that and my amazing boyfriend, who never ceases to amaze me.

Weekly Resolutions

- Craft Night with The Crafty Cunts
- Enjoy the less hours at work
- Continue to keep on the positive path
- Embrace change
- Craft, craft, craft
- Start on custom order for Amanda

So we are planning another amazing craft night, so excited to see the ladies.. spend time with them goofing off. We always have so much fun when we get together.

I have asked work to cut back my hours alittle, so I will be making less money.. but it is giving me time to reflect. Unfortunately I haven't spent hours crafting, just hours with "me" time, which has been so nice. Well Lee is definitely getting a lot of time too!

The past week I have decided to attack life at a different angle, stop some bad habits and continue my day to day with a much more positive attitude. I think it is working! I have had a really good week, despite someone's attempt at making me upset. Yea if you didn't hear someone reported my pin ups not only to photobucket but also myspace. I think it is really silly someone would go to such lengths to try to get to me.. but it isn't working. I just laughed it off!

Embracing change everyday! I have made a lot of changes in my life in the past week. I want to continue this because it is making me a stronger person! Not only is my attitude better but I feel more myself than I have in a very long time.

So I finally finished up my custom tea towels but now I must finish up this cross stitch I have been working on for a while. The border is huge, but I picked it because I really liked it, so suck it up Katie! It will be one of my favorite pieces once I am finished, I am sure!

Lee's friend Amanda asked me to do a custom piece for her boyfriend.. haha she refers to him as her husband basically.. She doesn't believe in marriage so they probably will never marry but they will be together forever. I mention this because the custom order is kinda her take on vows. I can't wait to do it, it should be hilarious!

Weekly Resolutions

- Continue to be patient..
- Enjoy time with the boy
- Take some photos on one of my days off!
- Finish my custom order for my etsy shop!
- Do more cross stitchings!
- Craft night with the Crafty Cunts!
- Continue being positive..

So lately I have been trying to view life and situations differently. It is not easy, especially when you are stuck in a routine day in and day out.. After a while life becomes this rock that is trying to drag you down to the bottom of the lake. So I have been enjoying the small things, not let things I can't help or change get to me, and spend time with people who actually care.

I have been so lucky to meet Lee. We went out to eat last night with his mom, and I have say that the more we hang out with her, the more I think we get along. I guess in the past few years I have grown hesitant about meeting parents. I was very nervous with Lee, he is an only child and his father died two years ago. So his mom is the only one he has and vice versa. But she is so accepting. I got so tired of one of my ex's mom who would always ask me why I had them and that she didn't understand why I would do something so ugly when I am so pretty. It really bothered me.. and we dated for nearly two years, so I heard it a lot! But Lee's mom likes them and she doesn't point them out or ask about them.. She just accepts me the way I am.

I think we are finally going to have a Crafty Cunt night. They have been few and far lately because everyone has been so busy. But I am looking forward to reuniting with them and continuing our meetings once a week!

Weekly Resolutions!

- Start on project(s) for Brook!
- Figure out what I am going to make for Sewphie!
- Craft Night Monday! (make rice crispy treats!)
- Tattoo Appt on Tuesday night!!!!!!!
- Continue to try to better myself daily.. No one is perfect!
- Continue going to work in a good mood.
- Love everyday like it might be my last, because honestly it very well could be!

So usually I post this on Sunday.. Sunday is the end of my week usually so I like posting my resolutions at the beginning of the next week.

This past week has been insane.. One of my online friends lost someone that was once dear to her and was the father of her child. I feel helpless because I don't know what to say.. all I can get out of this is.. wake up! life is short! don't waste any time on something that isn't important.. for all you know the last 30 minutes could be your last 30 minutes ever! If you feel you should say something don't bottle it up, don't ignore the urges.. It could very well be just as important to the person you want to say it to.

I have been spending a lot of time with my new friends. I haven't lived in this area for too long, a year.. It was a hard transition and now I am feeling at home and wanted. It is a really great feeling! And our craft nights are the best! We have named ourselves the Crafty Cunts! Or the Crafty Cupcakes to our grandmothers.. haha. It has been so long since anywhere felt like a home that was welcoming and accepting. Its usually judgemental.. I am really thankful for this change of pace!

Work has been no different, but I have been managing to not let things get to me so much. It has been a great relief. But they still tried to call me in tonight.. caller id best invention ever!

Tonight I went to a party.. it was fun! I got to see some amazing people, which whom I have been hanging out every weekend with for the past month.. month and a half. It is like when you are a kid and you have that group of friends that is like family!

All in all I guess I should have titled this post friendship.. because it has really been the only thing that has snapped me to my senses.. that and started reading a lot of inspirational things. I just hope that everyone knows that life is short.. and we should love one another instead of hating and being spiteful and judgemental. I don't want my last second to be spent hating or regretting. Hope you all have a wonderful night!
